Terms of use

Short, and written to be read. The citation section is the part most readers actually need.

Using the site

Nepal Context is published for information. By using it you accept these terms and the disclaimer. If you do not, please do not use the site.

Citing and quoting us

Researchers, journalists, embassies and institutions are among the readers we build for, and we want to be citable. You may quote reasonable extracts with attribution to Nepal Context, the page title, the URL and the date you accessed it. Where we cite a primary source, prefer citing that source directly — we would rather you went to the gazette than to us.

Please cite the last-verified date shown on the page rather than the date of your access alone. It tells your reader how current the claim was when it was last checked.

What you may not do

  • Republish guides in substantial part, or create derivative works that substitute for the original.
  • Scrape or bulk-extract the corpus to train models or to build a competing reference product.
  • Present our work as your own, or as the work of a firm or adviser.
  • Use the Nepal Context name or marks in a way that implies endorsement, partnership or review of your services.
  • Alter quoted material so that it says something we did not say.

For licensing — including internal distribution inside an institution, translation, or inclusion in a research product — get in touch via the contact page.

Our content and marks

Text, structure and design on this site are ours except where attributed. Legislation, gazette notices, regulator directives and other official material remain the property of their issuing bodies and are quoted or linked under normal citation practice.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be dated here. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and the courts of Nepal have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
